Under the watchful eye of Elio Perella and his team, Villa Inglese is having a total facelift, inside and out, to sympathetically bring this grand old lady back to life and into the 21st century. 


The painters have been at work for months painstakingly stripping off the tired old paintwork and repairing the render and now we’re nearly ready for the new colours to be revealed…

Brand new en-suite bathrooms have been created in all of the bedrooms along with air conditioning, new modern plumbing, an eco friendly hot water system, new electrics and several more licks of paint...

All of the original doors and windows have been taken away to be stripped, repaired and repainted by local carpenters and are now ready to be refitted with a little more draft proofing than before for those chilly winter evenings in front of a roaring log fire…

Topped by a new roof, the spectacular Villa Inglese roof terrace is in the process of being completely restored and a new rooftop shower added for a quick cool off on those hot sunny days chilling out with a great book, a cool drink and one of the best views in the Valle di Comino.

On the ground floor the Villa Inglese restaurant and kitchen have been carefully deigned by Chef Ben Hirst. Whilst taking inspiration from the original liberty style decor he will be adding a few quirky twists of his own design in the dining rooms, in the garden and on the restaurant terrace.
