“The first time I came with Ben to Picinisco, I fell absolutely in love with Villa Inglese. It was a glorious sunny day, and the house,

With all her shutters closed and a faded pink exterior, looked like she was asleep.
A tiny handwritten card in the window spelled out the words ‘Vendesi’, ‘for sale’, and it felt like our sign that we should wake her up.

It has brought us so much pleasure to restore Villa Inglese. The family who owned the Villa before us took great care of it, and it has been a joy to preserve its history while giving it all the elements of modern style. With the help of fantastic local craftsmen, we have revived its extraordinary cornices, beautiful fireplaces and pink facade; its interiors are a carefully curated mix of original furniture and contemporary design.

I lived for many years in an alpine village in France, and feel most free and most myself in the mountains. Picinisco evokes that feeling. Open the windows at Villa Inglese and you’re in the sky, looking out over the valley below. A far cry from the bustling streets of Rome and London.

Looking forward to showing you around,

Our roof terrace is the jewel in our crown.

It has magnificent views of the Valle di Comino and the mountains, and is surrounded by our garden and the nearby woodland.

There are sun loungers, comfortable reclining chairs and shaded areas, making it the ultimate place to soak up the silence of the mountains, clean air and sunshine. Relax with breakfast, a book, or a glass of wine as the sun sets.

The sunsets in Picinisco are a real spectacle, drawing everyone outside and setting the whole valley alight.

Breakfast is a languid affair.

You can take breakfast in your room, down in the garden surrounded by the herb garden, or on the roof terrace. The choice is yours.

The Villa Inglese continental breakfast includes tea and coffee; seasonal fruits; and bread, pastries, yoghurt and conserves all made in-house.
